The Director of the State Tax Service, Olga Golban, participated on November 4–5, 2025, alongside the heads of tax administrations from Belgium, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Ireland, Greece, Spain, France, Croatia, Italy, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Hungary, Malta, the Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Finland, and Sweden, as well as representatives of DG TAXUD, in the 7th TADEUS Plenary Meeting, held in Copenhagen (Denmark). The purpose of the meeting was to further strengthen cooperation among the tax administrations of the European Union at the highest level.
The event annually brings together directors and deputy directors of the tax administrations of EU member states, along with representatives of the European Commission, to discuss combating tax fraud and evasion, ensuring effective tax collection, and reducing the tax gap.
This year, for the first time, candidate and potential candidate countries for EU membership also took part in the meeting, including the Republic of Moldova.
In her address, the Director of the State Tax Service emphasized that it is both an honor and a privilege for the Republic of Moldova to participate in this meeting, describing it as an extraordinary opportunity to learn from the experiences of EU member states and to prepare for the country’s path toward full European integration: “We are deeply grateful for this opportunity to take part in an event originally designed for the tax administrations of EU member states, which has since been expanded to include candidate and potential candidate countries.”
Olga Golban also expressed her gratitude for the support and the opportunity to share good practices and robust approaches to addressing the challenges faced by tax administrations.
“I firmly believe that together, we can continue to foster innovation, transparency, and efficiency in tax administration across Europe. Thank you once again for this opportunity, and please rest assured of Moldova’s firm commitment to active and constructive collaboration within the Fiscalis platform. The State Tax Service continues to reaffirm its role as an active partner in the European processes of modernizing tax administrations and in harnessing opportunities for international cooperation for the benefit of taxpayers and the national economy.
